Our range
PREGNANCY CARE
In Germany, preventive examinations usually take place every 4 weeks, and later in the pregnancy every 2 weeks. From a medical point of view, they serve to detect abnormalities at an early stage and, with the exception of ultrasound examinations, can be carried out by two professional groups (gynecologists and midwives). We mainly accompany pregnant women alternately with the gynecological practice and see the collaboration with medical colleagues as a mutual complement and enrichment. Taking the individual situation and needs into account plays a central role for us. In contrast to purely medical preventive care, our work is resource-oriented and aims to promote health and empower women and families.
OBSTETRICS
Susanne Kreusler and Julia Schekahn will be happy to accompany you during your birth as a midwife at the Vivantes Klinikum am Urban or at a home birth. A midwife or home birth allows you to get to know your birth midwife during the months of pregnancy. We use this time intensively to prepare you for the time ahead or to deal with wishes or possible fears and worries. Furthermore, this type of birth assistance enables us midwives and you to receive 1:1 care.
The costs for obstetric care are covered by the health insurance company. The on-call fee is currently 900-1200 euros. Most health insurance companies cover parts of the fee, so it is best to ask your health insurance company for more information.
You can find useful information about out-of-hospital obstetric care and decision-making here .

HELP WITH COMPLAINTS
We offer holistic support for complaints during pregnancy, including acupuncture, manual aids ( EMH®) and massage.
MATERNITY CARE
The postpartum period covers the first 8 weeks after birth and is used for recovery from pregnancy and birth, bonding with the newborn and getting to know each other, adjusting to breastfeeding or feeding and regaining strength.
You are entitled to daily visits from a midwife in the first 10 days and 16 further visits in the first 12 weeks. The extent to which we provide these depends on your individual situation and needs.
We ask you to take into account that we use the support during pregnancy to prepare for the birth and the postpartum period and do not offer postpartum support alone.
BREASTFEEDING
You are entitled to midwifery assistance throughout the entire breastfeeding period. If you have any questions, uncertainties or challenges regarding breastfeeding, please feel free to contact us. Information about breastfeeding that may help you can be found here .
ACUPUNCTURE
EMH®
Acupuncture is a treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that is thousands of years old. In TCM, we find acupuncture as a small part of a very extensive traditional Chinese way of life. In the European context, acupuncture is very widespread. TCM offers a number of supportive, accompanying and healing methods around birth, such as acupuncture, acupuncture according to Ruthild Schulze's pregnancy disc, nutrition, cupping, Gua Sha, kinesiotaping, acupressure and ear acupuncture.
From the beginning of pregnancy, there is the possibility of regular
to carry out acupuncture during pregnancy (pregnancy disc) and to shape the diet.
There are methods to prepare for birth and the time afterward, to stimulate contractions and to provide support during birth. In the time after birth, we can support breastfeeding, problems with breastfeeding, the postpartum period and afterwards with various methods.
Effective manual aids include muscle chain work, pressure point stimulation, pelvic rocking and release, bioenergetic work, stretching exercises, whole-body and partial massages. They can support and regulate the physiological balance on a hormonal, neurovegetative and muscular level.
Indications can include sciatica and back pain, tension, pelvic floor problems, hard stomach and
premature labor, varicose veins, edema, calf cramps & restless legs, stress, anxiety and breech presentation.
